It's been a very long day for me. After the usual morning stuff, we loaded up some animals to take up the road to the nearby school's May Day festivities. We took the three calves and also one of the ewes with her twin lambs and set up a little area for them. It was a lot of fun to see everything, and petting the calves was a big hit.
The students worked really hard on everything: there was the May Play, ceilidh dancing, and of course, dancing around the May Pole. There was also a group of students doing acrobatics and juggling things.
This evening I did milking by myself for the first time. Not only did we all make it out alive, but there were no problems at all. A nice smooth process.
Then Ross and Benjamin and I all went to see the high school perform Fiddler on the Roof. It was very good, they did a wonderful job. It was also long, and now it is late for someone who has to get up at 6am.
