Ross and I were able to take off after chores this morning to attend the 40th Annual New Hampshire Sheep and Wool festival. I promptly forgot that cameras were a thing and that I should be using mine, so apologies that there are no pictures, especially of the adorable alpacas. It was really fun to wander around and look at everything.
There was a herding dog demonstration that was actually done by Wellscroft Farm, which is where we went to the fencing clinic. They brought their trained border collies, and it was neat to see four of them all working at once. We decided we needed one to make bringing the cows in easier.
There were also various sheeps and alpacas and even other dog trials. Various speakers were scattered about, and we went to a talk about keeping guard llamas. It was a little difficult to find things, as everything was very poorly marked, so that created some difficulties getting to some other things we wanted to see.
On the whole, it was a very enjoyable day, and I didn't even spend all of my money on the gorgeous yarn that was everywhere. Just some of it...
