Wednesdays are pretty much my favourite day. I just get to work on a list of farm things, puttering around by myself, getting stuff done. It's very satisfying.
Also satisfying is the moment when you slice into a wrapped bale and the sweet, sour smell comes wafting out.

Last week I spent some time perfecting my fence roll. It's reeeealy important not to tangle everything up.
Amelie had her calf, which Benjamin dubbed Antonia. She's a cutie, very dainty.
The veggie people have been busily harvesting, so I took some of the reject carrots to the pigs today. They weren't as excited about them as they get about the whey, but seemed to enjoy them well enough.
Some of the layer chicks have started laying their first tiny eggs. I took a picture of them in my hand for scale, but am now remembering that my tiny hands make them look pretty normal sized. Trust me, the eggs are very small.
